Abstract
Objective: The objective of this research is to conduct a 6 week study of 3 stroke patients - tibialis anterior taping combined with functional electrical stimulation ; measured before and after a patient¡¯s balance, and functional ability to move, walking speed compared.

Method: 3 stroke patients undergoing study at Gyeonggido H hospital from December, 2012 until January, 2012 were divided into 3 patient; with the tibialis anterior taping combined with functional electrical stimulation. Balance was measured using the Berg Balance Scale(BBS). Ability to measure functional movement was measured using the Time Up and Go Test(TUG). Gait speed assessment was measured using the 10 m Walking Test(10MWT). BBS, TUG, 10MWT before and after wards within each patient.

Results: After 6 weeks of experimentation, the tibialis anterior taping combined with functional electrical stimulation of 3 stroke patients showed a more score increase in BBS, TUG, 10MWT.

Conclusion: It can be concluded that tibialis anterior taping combined with functional electrical stimulation is more effective in enhancing the balance and gait of stroke patients.
